	Jon L. Siems, MD Dr. Siems is one of the most recognizable names in the field of refractive surgery. As his credentials will show, he has been a pioneer in refractive surgery serving as a principal investigator for 3 large FDA trials. He was selected as one of the first surgeons in the United States to investigate the surgical correction of presbyopia. He is a contributing co-author of a seminal book on the subject. Dr. Siems is also one of the most experienced refractive surgeons in the United States. He has performed many thousands of Lasik and lens-based (cataracts) surgeries. Dr. Siems was one of the first 5 doctors in the United States to use the IntraLase onsite.   Dr. Siems previously served as Director of the UCLA Los Angeles Inland Laser Center, the LCA San Bernardino Laser Center, the Ontario Laser Center, and the Laser Vision Institute of Las Vegas. Stephanie Hood Surgical Counselor/Ophthalmic Technician As a native Nevadan growing up in the Las Vegas valley, both my parents were Opticians for over 30 years, and after high school I decided to follow in their footsteps.  I started working as an Ophthalmic Assistant while completing my four year course with the Nevada State Board of Opticians.  In the early 90’s I had the opportunity to work with one of the very first Ophthalmic Lasers.  I have now been in Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery for 17 years.  As a long time Ophthalmic technician, I want to help our patients fully understand their options and what the surgeries can do for them. Technician / Intralase Operator I have been in the medical field for over 13 years, with experience in refractive, glaucoma, oculoplastics, corneal and retinal practices, as well as surgical assisting.  As clinical supervisor at Siems Eye Center it is my responsibility to ensure patients receive the best care possible.  At Siems Eye Center we take pride in what we do, and we hope that it reflects in our work. Paula Brannstrom Certified Ophthalmic Assistant I have been in the healthcare industry for over 16 years, with a background in Fitness Management.  After serving in the Air Force for four years, I worked as a civilian for the Navy in Spain teaching fitness requirement seminars and conducting fitness testing.  I am currently a certified Ophthalmic Assistant, and have been working with Dr. Siems for over five years.  I have lived in Las Vegas for ten years, originally from Asheville, North Carolina.  I enjoy mountain and road biking and do my best to stay healthy, so a career in healthcare just seemed natural to me.
Brian Bauer Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certified Visx Operator Certified Intralase Operator Certified Amadeus Operator I have over 14 years of experience in the field including refractive, glaucoma, oculoplastics, corneal and retinal practice, as well as surgical assisting.  I graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  I am also a patient at Siems Eye Center, having received LASIK in 2001. Evan Green Surgical Technicial Four years ago I joined thousands of patients we’ve treated by having the LASIK procedure done myself.  Since my procedure four years ago my life has changed dramatically, so much in fact that I decided to come to work for Dr. Siems in this exciting field.  For the past three years Dr. Siems and his staff have trained me in the latest refractive surgery technology.  I now assist in the life changing procedure that has benefitted me for the past four years.  I attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where I am pursuing a double major in Pre-Professional Biology and Finance, with the goal of moving on to medical school.		Amy   Coming Soon Karen Trueman Billing / Collections I have been in the medical field for many years, beginning my career as a Certified Medical Assistant and working for the Director of North Las Vegas Hospital.  I took a break from the healthcare industry, working as a Graphic Designer for 15 years, but returned to medical billing as it is a field I enjoy.  I have been working in billing in Las Vegas for the last ten years.
Izabella Kolodka Accounting Originally from upstate New York, I moved to Las Vegas in 2007 after a vacation that made me fall in love with Nevada and realize the vast opportunities here.  I have a Masters Degree in Accounting and have worked with Merrill Lynch, Provident Bank, and Coach USA.  I truly enjoy working at Siems Eye Center.
